TUBAL LIGATION
In 2002, BLM introduced outreach Tubal Ligation services in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population through the good working relationship and Partnership with District Health Officers. During the service, BLM personnel are able to conduct Tubal Ligation (TL) procedures by working in conjunction with Government health centre personnel.

This method involves a simple operation. The Fallopian Tubes in the womb are closed. This method is a little bit complicated than the operation of Vasectomy because it involves inserting of operation tools in the womb.

Even though the Fallopian Tubes have been closed, the woman still menstruates until she reaches menopause. She can continue having sexual intercourse without getting pregnant.
